Facilitators Learning Languages, Secondary Student Achievement Contract

Learning Languages Facilitators, Secondary Student Achievement Contract, Northern and Central Regions

A new way of working – Building sustainable clusters and networks

This will be a significant form of professional learning and development delivery offering key messages around the NZC (2007) and standards alignment to the Learning Languages community.

The areas that clusters will focus on will be identified at workshops held early in Term 2, and also from the Middle Leader survey that course participants will be asked to complete. At this stage it is anticipated that there will be the following focussed cluster groups:

  • The alignment of achievement standards
  • Making Literacy explicit in Learning Languages programmes to promote successful achievement in AS .4 and .5
  • Developing Middle Leaders’ capacity to accelerate student achievement in Learning Languages.

Other cluster groups will be developed as a need is identified.
